What an incredible gem. I was mesmerized by Wunderbar’s decor and warmth. The food was very delicious. The service was impeccable. The cocktails were one of the best I have ever had. The hosts are amazing people. I can’t wait to come back. Definitely recommend visiting!

My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner here while passing through town on the night before Thanksgiving. We sat at the bar and were treated to wonderful service. It is very dimly lit, well decorated, and a very relaxing atmosphere. Our brussels sprout appetizer with green goddess were so tender and full of flavor in every bite. Our tostones were generously covered with some very tender, slow cooked beef. It’s a wonderful place for a date night. We will definitely stop in again when in the area.

A true gem! Gluten free and dairy free options! Wonderful place for celiac to enjoy great food and drink pairings. Portions are small similar to tapas. The ambiance was just right!

LOVE going to Wunderbar. The meals are unique and delicious and the mixed drinks are out of this world. Everything is beautiful in the restaurant, from the cool and funky decor, to the beautifully crafted dishes and drinks. And the background music is just right too, very hip and cool. I can’t believe this is down the street from our home and we don’t have to drive four hours to the Lower East Side for this wunderful experience. We had fish tacos, pretzels with house-made mustards (not your mom’s pretzels or mustard), and falling-off-the-bone baby-back ribs in a sauce to die for. I ordered the Mezcalita drink and was not disappointed! Such a great place.

If Wunderbar were located in a large city like Burlington or Concord it might get lost in the crowd. But located in small village in southern Vermont? Absolutely amazing. Downtown Bellows Falls is actually a very cool and historic area and the vibe and decor of Wunderbar do it justice. Especially at night when the mood lighting is on at the bar and such. Reservations are almost a must, especially on weekends but service was good and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Food-wise was very diverse and interesting menu options skewing more towards Asian/latin cuisine than other tapas places that go very European. As a vegetarian I personally thought the Tofu Bao Buns were incredible but everything our table tried was good. Portion sizes were on the standard to slightly larger size for tapas with 2-3 plates per person being more than enough. I liked that many of the ingredients seemed local and well sourced. Overall would definitely recommend for those in the area looking for a special night out. Easily worth a 30-40min drive.

This place is worth a trip to Bellows Falls all on its own. Cocktails were the best I’ve had in Vermont, and the small plates were unbelievable. Pictured is the tofu boa buns. So good I wanted to order a second, but had to save room for the spicy masala fried chicken—to die for. Last but not least, the beef tacos—also amazing. This bar does everything right from decor to ambient lighting, music the perfect volume, friendly servers/bartenders.

A perfect 10 in my opinion! We ordered from the Tapas style menu after noting to the Server that I could not have grains or dairy and they were pleasantly accommodating in the menu already. So many vegan options that it made it easy. Then add on the duck eggs and different carnivorous options and we were absolutely delighted with the outcome. Oh and the craft cocktails! The menu is varied and has something for eery taste. Really, from the moment we approached the plant filled windows to the covered tables and the artwork, it was a sensory filled wonderful evening.
